Same market, Same rules : make mirror measures law

European farmers must comply with “animal welfare” laws. However, producers outside the EU who export to the European market are not held to the same standards. The result: unfair competition and a competitive edge for products from the worst forms of factory farming.

L214 is calling for the inclusion of mirror measures in European law, so that any product that does not comply with "animal welfare" regulations can no longer enter the EU market. This is one of the 12 measures in the European Charter for the Rescue of the Century.

Urge your Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to ban the import of animal products that do not meet EU “animal welfare” standards.
